Pet Dental Cleaning

Animal Clinics Of The Woodlands provides a full array of pet dental care services for both cats and dogs. If you love spending time hugging and loving your pet’s furry face, you know how important it is to keep their teeth clean! Bad breath can be an indicator of dental disease – one of the most common medical diseases for cats and dogs. When you take care of your pet’s teeth, you improve their quality of life as well. That’s why scheduling your pet to have a dental cleaning is so important. To learn about dental care at home, visit the Veterinary Oral Health Council.

We also perform all of our pet dental cleanings and procedures under anesthesia. Anesthetized dental cleanings with full mouth dental radiographs are the only way to perform a thorough oral exam, properly assess and address all periodontal issues, and clean the bacteria from below the gum line.

Common Dental Problems

Keeping a close eye on your pet’s teeth can save them from chronic pain and long-term illnesses down the road. Here are a few common dental problems to look out for:

  • Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
  • Constant drooling
  • Bad breath
  • Yellow or brown tartar build-up at the gum line
  • Broken or fractured tooth

If you notice any of these symptoms, please make an appointment with one of our veterinarians in The Woodlands as soon as possible – prompt attention is recommended!

Professional & Personalized Dental Care

In addition to regular scheduled teeth cleanings, our clinic provides comprehensive dental care at our Alden Bridge location. Services include:

  • Dental radiographs
  • Tooth extractions
  • Oral surgery
