Below are the facts about Canine Influenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica, and what you can do to help reduce the risk of infection to your pet.
A Case For The Canine Influenza Vaccine
The Canine Influenza Vaccine has been shown to reduce the spread of the disease. It also helps protect the lungs from permanent damage resulting from CIV infection. The incidence of cough in vaccinated dogs was 10% compared to 65% in non-vaccinated dogs.
We want our clients to have the peace of mind that their pets are safer when they board with us or any other facility. We recommend the Canine Influenza and Bordetella Vaccination(s) be administered to all canine companions that go to boarding and grooming facilities or other areas where dogs come in close contact, such as kennels, dog parks, and veterinary clinics.
